Rand Paul
The candidate that I choosed is Rand Paul. Rand Paul if elected president would secure the borders and stop millions of immigrants coming in illegally. Rand Paul does not support amnesty, but rather legal immigration. He also believes that with millions of illegals coming in, without our knowledge which is threatening our national security. Rand plans to get his “Trust but Verify” amendment which requires Congress to write and enforce a border security blueprint rather than relying bureaucracies, such as the Department of Homeland Security, to come up with a plan.
Rand Paul disagrees on the Supreme Court’s redefinition of marriage, he believes in the constitutional definition of marriage, but he also believes that all Americans have the right to contract. Also, he believes that the government should not prevent people from doing so. Rand Paul thinks that LGBT should be handled at a state level and not any higher. Rand also thinks that both marriage rights should be treated equal and not discriminated against each other .
Rand Paul believes that education is the great equalizer, but the one-size-fits-all system leaves most kids behind. Also, he believes that the Federal Government should not dictate what happens in out classrooms. To compete in the world Rand believes that our education system needs innovation. RAnd Paul believes that parents and teachers should play an active role in their child’s education and should be encouraged to choose that most appropriate educational institution for their child.
Rand Paul believes that we should uphold our entire Bill of Rights, but specifically our right to bear arms. Also, he believes that anyone who supports the second amendment must also vehemently protect the Fourth Amendment. If we are not free from unreasonable and warrantless searches, no one’s guns are safe. As president, Rand Paul said that he will not support any proposed gun control law which would limit the right to gun ownership by those who are responsible, law-abiding citizens.
Rand Paul believes that the tax code has grown so corrupt, complicated, intrusive and antigrowth that Rand ever seen. Rand Paul is announcing an over $2 trillion tax cut that would repeal the entire IRS tax code-more than 70,000 pages-and replace it with a low, broad-based tax of 14.5% on individuals and businesses. Rand said that he would eliminate nearly every special-interest loophole. The plan also eliminates the payroll tax on workers and several federal taxes outright, including gift and estate taxes, telephone taxes, and all duties and tariffs. Rand calls it the “The Fair and Flat Tax”. The Fair and Flat Tax reward work, saving, investment and small business creation, the Tax Foundation estimates that in 10 years it will increase gross domestic product by about 10%, and create at least 1.4million new jobs.
Rand Paul was not a member of the United States Senate during the 111th Congress, but if Rand said that he would have voted against Obamacare. If Rand Paul became President, one of his first acts would be to repeal Obamacare. Rand believes that our healthcare system was overregulated and in need of serious market reforms-but Obamacare is not the answer he believes. He thinks that government interventions in healthcare have driven up the cost of coverage and decreased the competition within the market. If elected President, Rand will ensure that real free-market principles are applied to the American health care system so the it is responsive to patients, families, and doctors, rather than government bureaucracy.
Rand Paul plans on defense budget amendment 940, which would call for increased spending of about $190 billion or 16%, through 2016 and 2017. Rand would plan to cut $21 billion from Foreign Assistance accounts, $14 billion from the National Science Foundation and Climate Change research under the General Science, Space, and Technology, $10 billion total from the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Commerce activities under Natural Resources and Environment and Commerce and Housing Credits, $20 billion from Department of Education, and $41 billion in discretionary spending from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Rand Paul believes that every time America topples a secular dictator, we wind up with chaos, and radical Islam seems to rise.
Rand Paul believes that one of the primary functions of the Federal Government is national security. As Commander-in-Chief, the important decision of declaring war would not be overlooked. Rand would follow the Constitution and seek Congressional approval before sending our brave men and women into harm’s way. Rand Paul believes that Congress could declare war and not just the President. Rand believes in Ronald Reagan’s “Peace through Strength” and will continue to stand with Israel and our allies abroad, also Rand will explore all diplomatic options before sending our armed forces into battle.
Rand Paul does not believe in climate change and believes that EPA have been violating rights of landowners. Rand firmly believes it is the landowner's’ Constitutional rights to do what they please with their own property. Rand Paul wants the EPA to pay for what they have done. Also, the EPA’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, deeming them “illegal” and vowed to repeal them. Rand believes that there is not enough information to prove the global warming is real or why it is happening.
The Vice President for Rand Paul would be his dad Ron Paul. Ron Paul would be Rand Paul's Vice President because they are the same on a lot of issues. For example, Ron Paul believes that global warming and climate change are not real, just how Rand believes. Also, Ron believes in the 2nd amendment, so does Rand. That is why Ron Paul would be Rand Paul’s Vice President.
